The information regarding the first ballot for the opportunity to apply for a UK visa has been made public by the British High Commission in India.
Through a ballot system, the United Kingdom is providing 3,000 visas to Indian citizens as part of its India Young Professionals Scheme. Candidates will have two days to apply under the ballot system. The voting period will run from February 20, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. (IST), to February 22, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. IST. Notably, there is no cost to cast a ballot.
The information regarding the first ballot was released by the British High Commission in India’s official X account, which was formerly Twitter.

“In 2024, there will be 3,000 slots open for the India Young Professionals Scheme visa. The majority of spots will be offered in the ballot for February. The UK Government website states that the remaining spots will be up for grabs in the July ballot.
The following information must be provided by eligible Indian citizens in order to cast a ballot, per UK government guidelines. In order to apply for a visa, applicants must make sure they meet the necessary educational, financial, and other requirements.

- Date of Birth(DOB)
- Details of a passport
- A scanned picture of your passport
- Email address
- Contact information
The ballot’s successful entries will be chosen at random. Within two weeks of the poll closing, the results will be emailed to the applicants. Those who successfully apply will have 90 days from the email date to apply for the visa online. Applicants must submit their biometrics and pay the visa application fee, which includes the immigration health surcharge, in order to be considered for the visa. The visa will set you back £298.
